Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born on the 8th November 1967. Her most notable roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She was also on the show as Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mother and Therapist. Courtney aged seven years old, divorced her father, Walter Smith. She was a part of both of her parents in different periods of time. Jennifer her elder sister is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended Menlo Atherton High School in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. In the high school, she also was a member of the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her debut film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas as well as Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. The actress was also in various films during the late 1980s including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). She starred with Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, Chairman of the Board. In 2009 she was the lead in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a friend of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the early 1990s. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple split in the month of January. On January 1st 2007, she was married Roger Fishman, president of the marketing firm the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. On January 11, 2008, she turned 40 she gave birth to her son, Jacob Emerson Fishman.
