Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actress. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She gained fame due to her appearances in TV commercials. The commercials she appeared in were not her only activity she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also starred in the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot television series New Warriors. Vayntrub is was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her left antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. At five years of age she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the economic hardships in her family. Vayntrub was a student at Beverly Hills High School briefly and then quit after her sophomore year. She later obtained an GED and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
